Willow continuing to grow through the summer

Updated: Jun 18, 2021

In March this year we planted willow at our first site in Grizebeck in the Lake District. The plants have had a good growing season through the summer, adding about a metre in height.

You can see how quickly this has come on since only a couple of months ago.

All of the green growth absorbs carbon out of the atmosphere, as does the growth of roots below ground.

You can sponsor the planting at this site, and other sites, with a subscription which offsets your carbon footprint from as little as £5/month, or you can support individual 3m x 3m squares for just £5.
